I mean the same thing happened to me after I breast fed and I thought I needed it, but when I saw Dr. Salzhauer for a consultation I had my breast done and with the implants my nipples are proportionate to my breast... But to answer your question if it is neccessary it can be done, you should get the Dr's professional experties!!
